Yes, CeskeZakony.cz is completely free including all features — search, browsing laws and case law, PDF downloads, notes, team collaboration and email alerts. No hidden fees or premium tiers.

Data from the Collection of Laws (e-Sbírka) and the Justice.cz database are synchronized automatically every day. New regulations and court decisions typically appear on the portal within 24 hours of publication in official sources.

Yes. Each regulation has a Download button with PDF or DOCX options. Registered users can also export laws with their own notes or with a comparison of two versions.

The portal offers full-text search in titles and texts of regulations, court decisions and legal areas. You can search by law number (e.g. 89/2012), keywords (e.g. Civil Code) or case file numbers. The autocomplete displays results instantly as you type.

Case law consists of court decisions that interpret and apply legal regulations. On the portal you will find decisions of Czech courts from the Justice.cz system. You can filter by court, judge and keywords. Related case law is also displayed for each law.

In the Comparison tab of each law you can select two versions and display a clear diff — what was added, removed or changed. The comparison is also available for PDF export.

Browsing laws and case law is available without registration. However, registered users also get: private notes on laws and sections, team notes for colleague collaboration, email alerts for changes in tracked laws, PDF export with notes and favorite law synchronization across devices. More about registration benefits.

Yes. The portal contains international treaties from the Collection of International Treaties and an overview of key European Union law (regulations, directives). You can find these sections in the menu under Regulations.

Each section has a citation icon. Clicking it copies a correctly formatted citation of the provision to your clipboard (e.g. "§ 1 para. 1 of Act No. 89/2012 Coll."). The citation assistant is available without registration.

The portal is for everyone — citizens, law students, lawyers, attorneys, companies, accountants, tax advisors and officials. Anyone who needs quick access to Czech legislation and case law will find the necessary tools here.
